A Report on children’s' Day Celebrations
Children’s Day celebrations were organised in K.V 3
Colaba for 3 days-Children’s 'Day on 12 nov 2009. Sports day
on 13 Nov 2009 and Cubs and Bulbul Utsav on the 14
Nov 2009.
The children were
informed about the significance of celebrating the Childrens
'Day.
Thursday 12.11.09 - Childrens
Day/ Grand Parents Day Celebrations
A wide
variety of activities were held for the students of Primary Section to explore
their talents on Childrens' Day in the first half.

All the competitions were held class wise; all the
students participated in the activities sportingly. The winners of these
competitions were given attractive prizes to appreciate their efforts and
talent. In the post lunch session the Grand Parents Day Celebrations was
organised as a part of Children’s Day Celebrations. The Grandparents were
received and given a warm welcome. A Fancy Dress Competition was held for
students. The students in fancy dresses were very amazing and entertaining. The
Grand Parents judged the competitions. They were glad to be the part of
celebrations. The Grand Parents participated with a sporting spirit in the
Musical Chair Competition. It was the most fun loving and enjoyable event. The
students appreciated their presence. The winner Grandpa was honored with a
prize. The students presented a cultural programme of song, skit and dance for
them.
Both
the Grandparents and the children had a ball and they enjoyed it thoroughly. Snacks
and tea were given to the Grandparents and the children. The vote of thanks was
proposed by CCA Co-coordinator Ms. Margaret.
Friday 13 nov.09 - Sports Day Celebrations
Sports day was organised as apart of the Childrens Day Celebrations .Lots of sporting activities
were held for the children.

All the students participated in the above
competitions with a sporting and team spirit. All the winners were cheered and
welcomed by their peers. They made the best use of all the opportunities
provided to them.
Saturday 14.11.
09 - Cubs and Bulbul Utsav
Cluster Level Cubs and Bulbul Utsav were held on
14.11.09. Four schools - K.V.1 Colaba,KV 2 Colaba, KV3 Colaba and NAD Karanja participated
in the Utsav.30 Students from each school had come. Total 120 students
participated in the Utsav. The students of other
schools reported at 8 o'clock. The participants were given breakfast. The Vice-
Principal Shri A. K. Pandey inaugurated the ceremony by the flag hoisting. It
was followed by prayer, song and cubs activities.
School-wise march past competitions were held and the winners were
declared. It was followed by the sporting activities -Book balancing, relay
race and Mini Marathon .The students proceeded for Den Making Competitions .The
Cubs and Bulbul gathered stones, dried grass ,twigs
and leaves and prepared a den. They
showed their adventurous streak and made aware others of importance of wild
life protection. They looked like really den. Drawing and Painting, Greeting
Card Making Competitions were held to show case their creative talent. The
children participated with competitive spirit in solo song, group song and
Fancy Dress Competitions. The main attraction was Fancy Dress. All the events
were judged. The winners were honoured with prizes.
The Cub -Bulbul incharge proposed the vote of thanks.
Lunch was served to all the participants of Utsav.Children
were jubilant and went back smiling, chatting and cherishing their experiences.
Children actively participated in all the competitions held as a part of
the celebrations .They grabbed all the opportunities and were overwhelmed on
receiving prizes. The 3 day celebrations came to an end with a much fan- fair.
The students had a very enriching experience during this Childrens'
Day.
