The times have changed, the Avenues
opened for the youth are plenty and hence each one should identify their talent
and aptitude and choose the line as each individual is born with distinct
capalabilities and No two individuals are the same, each individual is born
with distinct innate abilities. ·
He said that one should do what one
likes and not what others tell us to become, that is have your own individualities ·
He also insisted to “BE PROUD OF
BEING AN INDIAN and NOT APE THE WEST”, We Indians have
good values and we should learn good things from others but not forget our own
culture. The theme of the
fest ‘challenges of adolescence --- let’s empower them
with the information and skills’ was reflected in a befitting manner by all the
competitions. The competitions commenced with a brawl
between the participants over the topic No money; No honey...to have a
steady friend is a high maintenance issue!!! Each one promoted
their point with great conviction and confidence making it tough for the
judges. The students in favour quoted the friendship of Krishna and sudama and
Karna and Duryodhana from Mahabharata, while those who felt that money is a
must for the honey went on to say that sudama was a friend of Krishna because
Krishna was rich and enforced upon the need of money in a relationship… Students tried their
artististic hand at making posters by the mode of cartoons and at the end of
the competitions the art gallery was full of enriching and colorful way of
saying “HIV/AIDS --Spread the word not the disease”. The participants in
the essay writing competition displayed their thoughtfulness and language by
saying that “It is a challenge to attain the
status of the “ideal youth” ---since one has to overcome all the
challenges to reach the pinnacles of success in all walks of life. The stories told by
the students displayed their narrative abilities on the themes of Growing up healthy;
each anecdote was more engrossing and convincing than the other. Motivational songs
sung by the participants intermittently in unison were pleasing to the ears as
well as helped uphold the atmosphere festive. The display of aerobic dance on
the tunes of “shri Ganesha panchratnam and Ganesha
Panchakam” was welcomed by one and all and it was a pleasant feast to the eyes
to watch 160 students and 40 teachers dance to the tunes of the “Ganesha
Stuti”, the onlookers as well as the dancers all were benefitted as it was
loosening of muscles for all be it body or just the eyes. The health mela was
also a big draw which displayed the culinary art of the participants by the “Chutneyfication of the
fast food and nutrition….go green. The stalls were
well decked up by the nutritive yet lip smacking fast food. The carving of
vegetables done by the participants on the spot and the display of tables were
amazing, those who did not participate enjoyed eating and the whole set up
added to the festive mood of the day.
The nutritious The young lot also
displayed their understanding of the pressures of the society and also came out
with positive solutions by the mode of
their acting talent in the role play competition on the theme of “samaj ki kathorta
yuva pidhi ko apne jeevan
ki ahuti dene ko vivash
kar rahi hai “. Each school participated with full vigour and the play
